24 Sport Motorcycles Abandoned at Transjakarta UPT Office

As much as 24 Yamaha Byson motorcycles and 44 bicycles looked abandoned in front of the office of Transjakarta Management Technical Unit (UPT), Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Cawang, East Jakarta. The vehicles that are still wrapped in plastic have been there since January.

Such statement was denied by Transjakarta UPT, Pargaulan Butar-Butar. He stressed that those vehicles are not abandoned, but they are a fleet that will be used by his men as duty facilities on the field.

"Later on, the employee who served on the field will use those vehicles. But the vehicle cannot be taken home ," he expressed, Monday (4/21).

He also added that the bicycles will be placed nearby the guard post and employees can use them. By so, those who do not bring the private vehicle can use the bike until the front office. Considering the distance between the guard post and office's gate is quite distant. Besides, the bicycle could also be used in the event of Car Free Day.

As for the motorcycle, will be used to monitor the operational of Transjakarta bus every day. "Our men could arrive at the location quickly using the motorcycle, thus the monitoring will run effectively," he explained.
